There are a number of villages close to the town of Dun Laoghaire which you can also consider 
ie: Glasthule, Sandycove, Dalkey, Glenageary and Monkstown. 
All of these villages are connected to Dun Laoghaire by the DART (Dublin Area Rail System)

Helpful information for your trip to Ireland

Travel to Ireland

Travel By Car Ferry - Note we are currently in discussion with Ferry companies to negotiate special rates for competitors. Details will be announced.

Ireland is an island with easy access by air or sea.  

There are several sea links to Ireland

UK - Irish Ferries and Stena Line

France -Irish Ferries

France & Spain - Brittany Ferries

The closest port to Dun Laoghaire is Dublin Port, which is approx. 30 minutes by car, depending on time of day. There are excellent ferry connections daily from the UK and mainland Europe. 

Rosslare Port is about 2 hours south

Belfast or Larne Ports are about 2 hours to the north.

Cork is 2.5hrs South
